1950s Wittnauer Chronograph Ref. 3256

Up for your consideration is a Wittnauer chronograph from the 1950s

Ref# 3256

35mm case is unpolished and has scratches that's consistent to age. The beautiful and geometric lugs are strong and dent free. All pushers and crown are original 

The white dial has aged and taken on a warm creamy hue and the blue tachymeter and red telemetre at the edge of the dial add to the character and charm of this watch. The two subdials at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions provide a sophisticated and sporty look. The blued Chrono hand and subdial hands are definitely eye catching.

Movement is the manual winding Venus cal.188 movement and works flawlessly. Chrono works and resets as it should be.  

This is a unique piece that contains all of the key characteristics of similar chronographs from the same era without the heavy hitter pricetag.
